Tri-State Hindu Temple

Temple History

Our Temple is incredibly beautiful, and it opened with grand blissful “Pran-Prathista” ceremony in October 2022. It became possible because of the hard work and commitment of the entire Tri-state Indian community including the Executive committee members and Board of Directors and above all the blessings of Lord Ganesha.

In the 1990s and early 2000s Satsang’s and pooja were conducted at people’s homes and many other locations. We used to dream of having a temple, our own temple. A small group of resolute community members took the lead and started collecting pledges and raising funds. After years of challenging work, we purchased the land in October 2005 and started construction.

The temple hall opened its doors in August 2006 and that by itself was a testament to our collective efforts. Moving forward the community had set its sights on building a traditional Indian Temple. This journey was long and challenging with countless meetings, fundraising campaigns, and volunteer efforts. The community worked together harmoniously in bringing its vision and faith to life and finally the new temple was inaugurated in October 2022.

It stands today as a symbol of our community’s faith in the God with commitment, resilience, and determination. It will continue to be a beacon of our cultural heritage and spiritual traditions. We look forward to many years of worship, spiritual activities, and celebrations of Indian festivals.

Mission/Vision Statement:

"To create an institution which provides a platform to enhance Indian cultural, religious, community service (Sewa) and educational activities in the Tri State Area. This center will foster the teachings of the Vedas and other Hindu scriptures to promote friendship and goodwill among all people and to promote humanitarian services (Sewa) to fellow citizens at the time of need. Sewa is the concept of service to God and/or humanity, without the expectation of return. This center will also build the character and confidence in children through educational activities."
